A trip to the movie theater is an experience — one you just can’t replicate at home!
Treat yourself to a night out at the movies and splurge on a big bucket of popcorn or your favorite boxed candy. Or go fancy! You can even attend one of those new dine-in movie theaters that offer a complete dining service during the film, including a full bar and plenty of delicious entrees. It’s a dinner and a show, all in one!
A plus for you that I know you’ll appreciate, my tender-hearted Cancer, is the recent resurgence of rom coms to the big screen! Fun films like Ticket to Paradise and Shotgun Wedding are full of whimsical hijinks reminiscent of all our favorite 1990s and early 2000s romantic comedies.
We always recommend supporting local theaters, but if your town doesn’t have one close by, you can find AMC Theatres, Regal Cinebarres, and Cineplex’ VIP Cinemas all over the country — most of which offer a variety of dine-in options. You won’t have a waiter coming to take your order, but you can place your order at the snack counter and have it delivered right to your seat!

Scorpio: Spend some time in a cat café

I know you don’t need to be told twice to spend some time alone, my solitary Scorpio — but I encourage you to be social on your solo date. Don’t worry, I don’t mean with people!
Cats share your need for space yet desire for attention. The two of you can speak your own language. You may find yourself more relaxed than you’ve been in years after spending some one-on-one time with these feisty felines.
Some cafes are reserved exclusively for visits to help keep the cats become socialized (and you as well, Scorpio!) but most will offer additional food and beverages for purchase. Some cafes even offer classes, like yoga, that you can do in the company of your new furry friends.
You always want to do your research on cat cafes to make sure they’re being run ethically. It’s a double bonus to support cafes that raise money for or partner with local animal shelters. Some even use their café as a rehoming shelter to help their adorable kitties find new, safe, forever homes. Non-profit cafes are usually a safe bet. However, there are also some great for-profit cafes out doing some wonderful work by giving back to their community!

Pisces: Journey through your local bookstore

This is the ideal date for any book-loving Pisces! Indulge yourself by picking up your favorite sweet coffee drink from your local coffee shop before spending the afternoon getting lost among the shelves in your local bookstore.
Now, I want you to really take your time while you’re there, my dreamy Pisces. You always say you would spend hours at the bookstore if you could. Today, I want you to actually do it! Allow yourself the freedom to slow down and browse faithfully through each selection. Who knows, you may find your new favorite fantasy novel hidden behind an anthology! Or, discover a fantastic new author you’ve never heard of before!
If you have one close by, I’d highly encourage you to check out a used bookstore. They always have the most eclectic selections, and you’ll appreciate each book that much more knowing it carries the stories of previous owners with its pages. Plus, you can usually find fantastic deals at used bookstores. Often, you can even trade in your old books for store credit to save you a bit of cash — and circulate your stories into new hands!
