Where to Find Your Happy Place (Fire Signs)

**For more insight, check your Sun, Moon, and Venus signs!**

The holidays can be a hectic time for everyone, which is why it’s important to find moments for self-care.  Even when it’s not the holiday season, sometimes life just gets overwhelming, which is why it’s important to prepare.  Needing some time away from others is nothing to be ashamed of — in fact, it’s essential to maintaining good mental health (even if you think you don’t need it, fire signs)!

Aries — The Gym

My exciting Aries, you are a bundle of boundless energy.  Sitting alone in contemplation just doesn’t work well for you, does it?  You need to stay active and keep your blood pumping in order to focus.  Even if you go and spend all your time at the gym with the sole focus on your body — your mind appreciates the break and actually works best when you’re active every day!  You can return to your fast and frenetic life with a clear head once you’re finished with your workout.

For you, Aries, keeping your body moving helps you work off holiday stress and releases all the endorphins you’ll need to keep your spirits lifted throughout the season.  If you don’t have access to a full gym over the holidays, try an at-home workout alone or go for a quick jog through your neighborhood!  If you have a more mellow Moon or Venus sign, I recommend also trying yoga for a more Zen approach.

Leo — Your Bedroom

You are extroverted to your core, my dazzling Leo (even you introverted Leos out there are more extroverted than most introverts!).  You spend so much time sharing your light with everyone around you that, in order to truly rest, you must be in a place that is entirely yours.  No outside influences or distractions allowed!

I know being alone can seem intimidating for you, Leo.  But — I promise — it is necessary for your mental health.  Put your phone away, lock your door if you have to, and take some time to reconnect with yourself.  Read, journal, meditate, or take a page out of Scorpio’s book and just stare into the void for a while.  Allow your mind to relax and decompress — even if it’s only for an hour or two!  You’ll be surprised by how much better you feel when you take time to unclench your brain and release all those emotions you may not have even realized you’ve been avoiding!

Sagittarius — On a Drive

Because of your vagabond nature, you don’t have an exact spot for your happy place, my roving Sagittarius.  The act of driving, itself — or even just riding along — is enough to clear your head and give you plenty of time to think.

Whether you’re traveling in complete silence or jamming out to your favorite tunes on full blast, a long drive is your version of therapy.  You haven’t met a problem the open road couldn’t solve!  Simply enjoy the ride, engage your imagination, and watch the world pass by.  It’ll help you find some perspective and figure out the best course of action forward.  If you’re really struggling with something, I definitely recommend driving through an area that is new to you — or even taking an overnight trip, if possible.  If you don’t have access to a car, pop in those earbuds and hop on the public transit system with no destination — or take a local round-trip train ride!
