With the holiday season in full-swing, I’m sure you all are thriving as you breeze from friends to family gatherings, spreading your witty humor and holiday cheer wherever you go.
The hustle and bustle of the holidays looks good on you, air signs.
But once the dinner has been eaten, presents unwrapped, and everyone returns to their respective houses at the end of the evening, I want to remind you how important it is to take the time to reflect on the past year once you’re alone again.
Gemini: Make amends with yourself and your loved ones
Gemini, as the biggest ambivert of the zodiac, this past year and a half has brought out parts of you that you didn’t even realize existed. As a sign that’s constantly changing and discovering new parts of yourself, I encourage you before the year is up to dedicate some time to processing and reflecting on everything you’ve been through. It’s important to take stock of your emotions, rather than avoid or repress them. Take responsibility for any mistakes you’ve made this past year, remedy them, and most importantly, forgive yourself. Life is too short to harbor any guilt from the past. There’s too much potential for a happier future!
In terms of your loved ones, I know you struggle with maintaining relationships, Geminis. You’re so enthusiastic about everything that it’s easy for some things or people to slip through the cracks, especially if they aren’t in your immediate vicinity. The holiday season is the perfect time of year to reach out to those you love and remind them how much you care about and appreciate them, even if you haven’t spoken in a while. Use that charming sense of humor we all know and love to make them laugh, and they’re sure to forgive you for being a little distant. After all, it’s been a hard year and you’re only human.
Libra: Accept things for how they are, not just how you want them to be
We know you couldn’t be more thrilled to be surrounded by loved ones again this holiday season, Libra. Nothing fills you with greater joy than gathering everyone together to get that picturesque annual group shot in front of the Christmas tree or under the holiday lights, preferably wearing matching sweaters or pajamas and grinning from ear-to-ear. However, I must advise you to pay more attention to what occurs before the snap of the camera. You have to allow things to be as they are, and not just the picture-perfect versions of what you want them to be.
You have so much love in your heart for your friends and family, Libra. You only want what’s best for them, but sometimes you need to take a step back and remember that they know what they need better than you do. Use all that love and compassion you carry to support your loved ones this holiday season, instead of steering them in the direction you think they should go. Direct all that energy inward every once in a while. Take some time to reflect and see if the person you’re trying to be is actually who you are.
Aquarius: Remember to take time for yourself
While the holiday season is often the busiest time of year, I want to remind you, Aquarius, how important it is to take some time away for yourself. As the most philosophical of the zodiac, it’s especially imperative for you to give yourself ample time to process your emotions and reflect on the events of the past year. However, I urge you to be wary of overanalyzing. You don’t have to rationalize every emotion. Feelings don’t always require an explanation. It’s okay to simply feel them, and you need to give yourself the space to do so.
Set boundaries with loved ones. You’re a social butterfly, and I know you love all your groups of friends and family. But sometimes it’s okay to say no to the holiday party, if what you need most is a night to yourself. Find the balance between going out and staying in, so you’ll be able to have the space you need to cleanse yourself of any negativity before 2022!
The biggest thing I want you to remember, air signs, is that self-care isn’t always just face masks and bubble baths (although they certainly do help!).
Sometimes, self-care means taking a good, hard look in the mirror and ensuring that you’re satisfied with the person you’ve become.
