The Halloween Celebration You Should Attend This Year!  (Earth Signs Edition)

Taurus:  Halloween Haunt (Canada’s Wonderland)

September 23 through October 30 (Fridays and weekends only!)

Halloween Haunt is the biggest Halloween celebration in Canada!  It takes place at Canada’s Wonderland, a popular amusement park located a little less than an hour outside Toronto, Ontario.

One of the nicest things about this Halloween event is how flexible it is.  It spans six long weekends from September 23 all the way to October 30, so you can make this event work with your schedule, rather than trying to squeeze it in around Halloween time, when you might very well want to be snuggled up at home alone watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, my dear Taurus.

Another perk of Halloween Haunt is the variety of attractions, letting you choose your comfort level while still enjoying the party.  You can wander through Halloween-themed sections of the park like the Ghostly Pines or the Streets of the Undead, attend terrifying shows like Freak Show or the tamer Deathly LED Drumline, or you can just stick to traditional roller coasters like the Leviathan or the Psyclone.

I know going to an amusement park may already be forcing you to step out of your comfort zone, but if you really want to challenge yourself, then I encourage you to ride the Zombies Interactive Dark Ride.  It’s a terrifying takeover of the popular Wonder Mountain Guardian ride, where riders get to compete with their fellow passengers in an epic 4D gaming adventure to see who can survive the night.  You may surprise yourself by how well you do (and how much you enjoy the park)!

Virgo:  Dracula’s Castle Halloween Party

October 28 through October 29

The biggest Halloween party in Transylvania — Halloween Party at Dracula’s Castle — takes over the historic Bran Castle in Transylvania.  This is the very castle that is said to be the setting of Bram Stoker’s famous novel!  The fortress, itself, dates back to 1377 AD and is completely decked out in Halloween décor.

Knowing you, Virgo, you’ll probably want to take one of the guided trips to Romania so you can fully immerse yourself.  Transylvania Live hosts a blood-chilling Dracula party!  You can also find longer Dracula-centered tours of Transylvania, all including the coveted Halloween Party ticket!  They have a detailed itinerary, along with advice for US citizens traveling to Romania — everything you’d want to know, Virgo!

If you do go with the tour, you’ll be wined and dined with a traditional, three-course, Romanian meal and get to partake in a costume contest with your fellow travelers before you head to the castle.  The party itself is more of a club-style event (hosted by a popular Romanian DJ) that rages until 4 AM in the courtyard of the castle.  However, if you need a breather from the dance music, they’ll also be projecting horror movies throughout the evening.  What’s more, they will take you on an unforgettable night tour of the grounds — that ends at the Wicked Fairies Dance!

It’ll be a night full of spooky history, bumping beats, and delectable delights in an actual haunted castle.  What more could you ask for?

Capricorn:  Escape Halloween

October 28 through October 29

Escape Halloween is exactly that — an escape from your hectic everyday life, Capricorn.  The creators of this festival emphasize that you are the headliner!  They want you to be free to be your most creative self (they even rent out lockers so you don’t have to worry about your valuables!), so you can feel comfortable letting your guard down and releasing your inhibitions for once!

Escape Halloween offers a wide variety of entertainment options for you to explore, so if you’re ever feeling restless or an event doesn’t interest you, you can always mix it up!  You can watch the live performances from one of the four unique stages that all feature a killer lineup — which you can check out here — or venture through Crazy Town, a fun-filled world of art, music, and mysterious, supernatural forces.

If live music isn’t your scene, you can always head over to the Dance Macabre, a silent disco in the old cemetery, where you can dance the night away with your friends among the gravestones.  Or, check out the Fire Organ at the center of Crazy Town to watch a wild show with unsavory characters and pyrotechnics.

You can even browse through Poison Ivy, a mystical shop where you can purchase rounds of enchanting elixirs and make your own magical drinks!  The Well is nearby — a huge food and beverage counter that’s been around since the festival’s inception.  There are so many different sections of the festival you can get lost in, guaranteed to help you forget all your worries and cares — at least for the weekend!
