While we all love our at-home self-care rituals, there’s just something special about a facial or a mani-pedi out at a spa — don’t you agree, Taurus?  It’s so dreamy to relax and have your skin cared for and a rejuvenating face massage.  It’s also therapeutic to have your nails done, especially when you get to just lie back and watch the magic happen. 

Check around and find a spa that fits with your goals and personality.  For facials, look for an esthetician who is recommended for what you want done.  For your mani-pedi, choose a color that brings you joy — even if it’s the classic and always elegant French tips.  Who cares if the lady down the street thinks fire engine red is your color.  What makes you happy is what is on the menu for today!  Maybe you’ll even decide to splurge a little and add some dainty flowers or sparkly, ornate details to really make your nails stand out!

Spa visits can be on the pricier side, so it’s okay if you can only swing one treatment.  Something small but impactful is all that’s needed to make you feel invigorated and rejuvenated.  But I strongly urge you to go into a spa or salon instead of doing it yourself.  It’s about the experience.  This isn’t your everyday habit — investing time in self-care and spoiling yourself for once is not being selfish!  I want you to feel pretty and pampered!  That feeling will last for the next few weeks — every time you look at your perfectly polished nails or healthy, glowing complexion — until you’re ready for your next one, that is!

You could even incorporate a full-body massage or something else on the menu that you’ve been dying to try!

Virgo: Get some furry cuddles

Virgo — astrology says your solo date should be spent volunteering!

Your local shelter is constantly in need of fresh, friendly faces, and you’re always willing to lend a hand — especially if it means you get to cuddle adorable puppies and kittens all day.  Sounds like a match made in heaven, if you ask me!

Shelter animals need the same TLC as any pet.  They need socialization to reduce stress and anxiety and to help build trust with humans.  The dogs need to be walked and the cats need to be played with so they get plenty of exercise.  Fill your cup with the unconditional love and affection that can only be given by an animal.  You’ll be satisfied and fulfilled knowing you’re doing good for your community and for those adorable fur babies!

I recommend working where the most need is, directly with the animals, if you can.  But for some people, that’s the hardest part.  You can also be incredibly useful by offering to take pictures for the shelter’s website, writing bios for the animals, or providing additional administrative support — whatever your best niche is and where your desire takes you.  Utilize your skill set to help these sweet fur babies find safe and loving homes.

Remember, try your best to go home alone, Virgo — no matter how much you want to take your new friends with you.  I know it’s hard to leave their sweet faces, but you’ve given them a day of feeling loved and wanted instead of alone and abandoned, and you can always make a promise to come back and volunteer again soon!

Capricorn:  Let loose in a rage room

It’s no secret that your schedule doesn’t leave much room for alone time, Capricorn.  Your to-do list is constantly a mile long, but you wouldn’t have it any other way!  However, we all know there have been times when you’ve felt so overwhelmed by your responsibilities that you just wanted to scream and throw your favorite coffee mug at the wall — just to watch it shatter.

Yes, you have a tendency to stifle your emotions in the name of productivity — which is why you need a safe space where you can be free to let it allllll go.  No obligations.  No one else to look out for.  Just you, a baseball bat, and something to destroy.

All rage rooms are different and offer their own unique perks and personalities, but they all center around the same thing — giving you the opportunity to release your inhibitions and smash everything in your path!  Some rooms allow you to break plates, glasses, and other dishware with the greatest of noisy shatterings.  Others have more premium items like couches, TV sets, even toilets that you can smash with a hammer or bat and demolish the entire room! 

This is your chance to completely lose control while still being in a safe, controlled environment.  Not only is it an intense emotional release, but it can also be quite the physical workout!  You will be amazed by how light and free you feel after inflicting so much damage on an innocent table or coffee maker.  Show those household objects who’s boss!
